How to Take a Screenshot on Your Laptop: 3 Simple Steps

Not everyone uses a mouse or touchscreen, however, which makes it difficult to take a screenshot without going to a third-party application. There are two ways to take a screenshot on a laptop, with the second being the most similar to a mouse. Method One: Keyboard Shortcut The first and most basic way to take a screenshot on a laptop is to press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+V. You’ll be prompted to confirm your actions. If you want to change any of the default settings, head over to the /user directory and edit the “EnableUI” system setting to 4, which will be the default setting. Method Two: Mouse Shortcut The second method to take a screenshot on a laptop is to press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Mouse.
