EMUI 12 is here! – Arrived on several global high-end Huawei devices!

 Last summer, Huawei introduced MIUI 12, and at the end of the fall, this Chinese company will start sending a beta upgrade to some of its high-end phones in Europe. Today, those few phones started receiving a stable EMUI 12 upgrade.

EMUI 12 brings with it a lot of changes, and it is actually the same user interface design offered by Huawei’s Harmony OS 2.0, which is available on Huawei phones in China. Huawei does not specify which Android EMUI 12 is based on, but it is likely to be Android 10 or Android 11. The following Huawei phones get a stable EMUI 12 upgrade in the global market: Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Huawei Mate 30 Pro. The upgrade comes with version number 12.0.0.218 and the size is 1.04 GB. So, if you own one of the above phones, by going to Settings -> System and Updates -> Software Update -> Check for Updates, you can check if the mentioned update is already available.

At the presentation of EMUI 12, Huawei stated that it is an “innovative interface design”, and it consists of three main colors – white, black and blue. EMUI 12 brings with it many changes, and above all it applies to the entire redesigned user interface. Users will also have easier access to customize the font, there are smart folders, file management on multiple devices, the Huawei Share app has been improved, and now there are some new gestures.
